French media outlet RAM Sport reports that Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike has agreed personal terms to join Liverpool, with the two clubs now having to agree on a transfer fee.

    It was previously report that the Magpies had made an offer of €80 million to sign the player. But Frankfurt rejected it, with the player reportedly having a €100 million release clause.

    According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds also made an offer. But it was rejecte by the German giants, who said the offer was too low.

    While the French side revealed that Ekitike has agreed a 6-year contract with the English Premier League champions, waiting for both teams to negotiate a price.

    Ekitike only joined Frankfurt on a permanent basis last summer after impressing on loan in the second half of the 2023/24 season. He impressed with 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 games last season, helping the team to third place in the Bundesliga and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
